Who Should Attend?
• Anyone starting a new job, role or career in the road haulage sector.
• Those who are committing to their professional development as a transport professional to enhance skills and knowledge to progress in their transport career.
• Restricted licence holders and transport professionals who do not require CPC holder status but want to gain transport legislation knowledge to the latest standards.
Course content
The course is blended and is completed in format of 1) work through 14 interactive eLearning modules, 2) then attend 2 webinars with a subject matter expert (typically these are completed on different days in the same week) and then finally 3) complete the end of course assessment to obtain a certificate.
1. learners will be required to review the 14 key topics covered in the course. These must be completed in advance of the first webinar session. The topics included are:
• Operator Licensing including VOLS
• Vehicle Maintenance Systems
• Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Legislation
• Managing Drivers’ Hours Records
• Financial Matters Overview
• Driver Licensing and Driver CPC
• Employment Law
• General Vehicle Legislation
• Plating and Testing
• Vehicle Selection
• Movement of Goods
• Workplace Transport Safety
• Taking a Vehicle Abroad
• Road Traffic Legislation
Each module takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.
2. Webinar: The course includes 2 x 3-hour webinars. The webinar will consolidate what has been understood by the learners and is based on the eLearning topics. Learners will be expected to interact with the trainer and engage in breakout room discussions, answer questions and complete a case study.
3. Assessment: After both webinars have been completed, learners will be instructed to complete the end of module assessment. On a score of 70% or more a completion e-certificate will be issued. For learners scoring less than 70% an attendance certificate will be issued.
