CS – Cargo Supervisor
This CAA approved course is designed for supervisors within a Regulated Cargo Agent who have day‑to‑day responsibility for implementing air cargo security procedures.
Air Cargo Security training is modular, with each level building on the previous one. Level CS focuses on the operational supervision of cargo security activities, ensuring policies and procedures set by the Security Manager are applied and maintained on a daily basis in line with CAA/DfT requirements.

Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for supervisory staff within a Regulated Cargo Agent with day‑to‑day operational responsibility for cargo security.
Anyone assisting with Responsibilities for Implementing the National Aviation Security Programme (NASP) at Local Level.
Where no formal supervisory role exists, the Security Manager should nominate an appropriate individual to fulfil this function.
Candidates must have completed Levels CASP, CO and COS prior to attending Level CS.

Module 8 - Acceptance and Dispatch of Cargo and Mail.
Module 9b - Prohibited Articles and Concealment for Screeners.
Module 10 -Visual Check.
Module 11 - Hand Search.
Module 12 - Explosive Trace Detection (ETD).
Module 13 - Screening Using X‑ray Equipment including EDS and CTEDS.
Module 14 - Threat Image Projection (TIP) – if required.
Module 15 - Metal Detection Equipment.
Module 16 - Explosive Detection Dogs.
Module 17 - Searching/Checking Cargo Aircraft.
Module 18 - Protecting Cargo Aircraft.
Module 19A - Preparing People for Security.
Module 19B - Searching People.
Module 19C - Preparing Items Carried.
Module 19D - Walk Through Metal Detection and Hand Held Metal Detection equipment.
Module 19E - Searching the (CP)SRA/TCP.
Module 19F - Recognition of Firearms, Explosives and Dangerous Goods.
