Transport Operations Supervisor Apprenticeship

Our Level 3 Transport and Warehouse Operations apprenticeship, delivered by experienced industry experts, is an excellent way for businesses to upskill existing colleagues and attract new talent.

This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training in the logistics industry, along with developing the skills and knowledge needed to excel as a competent transport supervisor. Such as, extensive knowledge of operator licence compliance, which is provided through the TMCPC, and a strong understanding of industry legislation and regulations.

Course Details

  • Duration: 13 months + End Point Assessment (around 3 months)
  • Level: 3
  • Cost: Levy funded or £250 for non-levy payers (95% of cost funded by government)

Qualifications learners will achieve

  • Level 3 Transport Operations Supervisor
  • Level 3 Transport Manager CPC
  • Level 2 English and Maths (if not already achieved) *
*Government rules for English and Maths qualifications will be discussed with employers

Who Should Attend?

This programme is ideally suited to employees working in the Transport and Logistics sector who wish to progress to a Transport Manager role. This occupation can be found across a range of organisations, including but not limited to hauliers, storage and warehouse operators, couriers, retailers, and utilities. At this level, Transport Supervisors are integral to successful daily operations in a fast-paced and varied environment.

Course content

The Transport Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations involved in supply chain management, ensuring activity and vehicles meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. They will deliver departmental and organisational objectives effectively and efficiently and ensure compliant, safe, and secure working within their workplace.

In their daily work, an employee in this occupation will interact with various stakeholders across several organisations and professions. Transport supervisors would lead a team that would vary in size depending on the organisation and regularly engage with external customers and third-party agents.

Transport supervisors must keep up to date with recent transport regulations and legislation and be aware of best practice transport operations to ensure compliant, secure, and safe working within the organisation's policy and procedures.
